How to root any android device (smartphone/tablets)

Rooting an android device certainly void your device warranty, but still, it is practiced by many users. Rooting a device opens a hidden door to access resources, which was previously restricted to average usage only. It is just like providing administrator access to the end-user. After rooting, you (an administrative user) can install custom ROM’s, remove unwanted bloatware, replace the firmware, overclock (or underclock) the processor, install useful third party apps and lot more.

It sounds scary when we talk about rooting or jailbreaking a device. Well, it’s not as frightening as it seems, but it does have its drawbacks, but everything comes at some cost. It brings enormous change to your android device but perhaps makes your device vulnerable to an external threat.


The conventional method is to go by all the hassle of unlocking bootloader > installing TWRP/CWM recovery > Installing SuperSu/Magisk, but what’s fun in that. So in this article, you will learn how to root an android device by just a click. King root is available in both app and windows software for doing the task.

Installing the King Root app

The easiest way is to go by the android app of King Root and install the apk file. Don’t expect this app to be available on Google play store because google will never approve anything which compromises with android security. Since this apk file is not downloaded from the play store, so you have to enable Install from Unknown Sources. When you try to install a prompt screen will open, go to setting and toggle on the Unknown sources and press Ok to approve. Now install this application and open the app.

Rooting the device

Once you open the app, the One Click Root button will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Click on the One Click Root button and then go to Get now button to start the rooting process. The process will take some time, so make sure that your device is at least 80 % charged because any interruption in the rooting process leads to some unexpected process.

Once the rooting process is complete, verify it by the root checker app available on play store.

How to Root Android Device by Windows Desktop

If you couldn’t find luck with the android app, then look for the desktop version. The desktop version supports almost all the android devices, and king root keeps on updating their software.

Step 1: Download King Root software for windows and install it normally.

Step 2: Now enable USB debugging from the developer option. If you can’t find a developer option in your device, then follow the below steps. The steps to enable developer option varies from device to device, but the basic process flow remains the same.

Go to Setting > About Phone > Build Number, Tab on build number 7-10 times, and a popup message will come that “you are now a developer.” Then go back to your setting and find developer option somewhere, again its location is device-specific. Now in developer option toggle on USB debugging.

Step 3: Open King root software and connect your smartphone with the USB data cable. The software will try to establish a connection with the smartphone and will ask for permission. A popup message will appear “Allow USB debugging” so, press ok to continue.
