Telegram, an instant messaging application, has officially launched two identical web apps. Previous Telegram web apps were lacking many crucial features. These new web apps now offer a modern design with a refined interface and additional features.
Both Telegram WebZ and Telegram WebK are listed under the “Web Apps” sub-head on the company website. In order to use these apps, you must have the Telegram mobile app/desktop app installed on your device. Once you go to the web address you will be asked to fill in the mobile number, and the security code will be received on your already logged-in device. The other option is logging in by scanning the QR code — just the way it is done in WhatsApp.

Both WebZ & WebK looks almost identical but has a slight difference in UI with and features. This new web app has brought Telegram desktop functionality to web browsers. Web app is now a more polished interface and filled with features like animated stickers, chat folders, and a dark mode.
As far as their design is concerned, both apps look quite similar, and “support most of the features you likely need for your day-to-day Telegram usage”, as per a post by Telegram. The Telegram WebZ app does not have a bell icon to activate notifications but has a colorful background. Telegram WebK, on the other hand, offers a quick install shortcut in the address bar.
Both of these apps are the modern versions of the current Telegram for Web(web.telegram.org) with more features but still missing few native options. Both are developed by different developers and ar listed on the telegram website. Telegram says that they want fair competition to exist between these apps so that the best will come out in the future.
Our opinion: We believe both apps are best in their own way and lacks some very basic features also. We want the good features to be merged with the on another and expects regular updates like official telegram apps.
